Here at SSJRPG, we are comitted to working with our fans/vistors and helping them. We also want to expand to more of an audience and offer even more to everyone. So, we have made this page to tell you what, where, and how to submit your own stuff to SJSRPG. If you don't follow these small guidelines, then it won't be accepted. :( Basic Information Most of the time, we will reply to your email saying if it is/isn't accepted. We have yet to get something hideously bad that we didn't want to post. You should see your material up in a few days. No pornographic or offensive material will be allowed under any circumstance. There's million of porn sites out there, this site is not one of them. Only send your original material, we're not gonna risk getting blamed for your stupidity. Also, if you wish to have your material removed, just ask away and we'll do it. After all, it is yours (well, it better be...) and you're free to do whatever you want with it. All we ask is that you provide a reason why, we're curious little buggers. Attach those files!! Do NOT include the file (ie: images) in the actual message. It doesn't work that way, people are getting smarter and not using Aohell and don't have that fuction. (No, don't try to say that it's a cool idea, because lots of times the image doesn't get the correct MIME type and you see a bunch of garbled text instead of an image). If you can take the time to attach a zip file to an email, then you can do the same for everything else. Compression, compression, compression!! Compress those files you send us!! Mac users, you are better off stuffing (.sit) files using DropStuff/Stuffit Deluxe or zipping using DropZip. However, stuffing is best for Mac's. Windows users, you are better off zipping (.zip) files using DropStuff, WinZip, PKZip, etc. or you can stuff them using DropStuff, although zipping is usually better for Windows. If it is Dragon Ball related material, send it to SS3 GokouX. If it's RPG related material, send it to Chaos. If has nothing to do with DB/RPG's then why are you even bothering? Feel free to send us images (in general, which includes animated gif's, fan art, desktop/DeskShot images, etc.), movie clips, sound clips, music videos, walk throughs, and I think that's it. If you wish to send us something that is not listed here, send it anyway and see what we say. Images Includes plain images and animated gif's. But not fan art, DeskShots, nor desktop images. Please make sure it is in either jpeg (.jpg) or gif (.gif) (animated gif's are still gif's) format. If you wish to send up a bitmap (.bmp) please try to find a way to convert it into a jpeg or gif. If you can't, send it anyway. Do NOT send Aol Art (.art) files, we're lucky enough to not have Aohell and we cannot open those files. Fan Art Please follow the guidelines for the images, plus be sure to include the following information: Your name (real/fake), age, email address (if not the one you're sending from), and the character(s) in the image. You can use any type of media to make the image; computers, pencil, crayon, oil pastels, whatever!! DeskShots You will receive FULL CREDIT for submitting a DeskShot. We ask you to send your name (real/fake), email address (if not the one you're sending it from), operating system (Mac 7.5/8.5/9/whatever, Windows 3.1/98/NT, Linux (Redhat, PPC, YellowDog, etc.) etc.), resolution the picture was taken in, and any additional information. When submitting one, we ask you to make it as cool as possible!! This is the time to show everything and anything you have on your computer (except porn). If you have some cool movie clips, include them. If you want to suck up, show your browser with SSJRPG loaded up!! This is your chance to show everyone how much their computer sucks and your is better!! We ask you to change your resolution to 800x600 or smaller (not greater). It's not an official rule... yet. If you do use a higher resolution, we will convert the image size to 800x600. Sometimes a desktop just looks bad at a smaller resolution, depending on its content, and changing it to 800x600 after taking the shot will make it look better. Desktop Images You must have some form of RPG or anime (going beyond Dragon Ball for once) related thing. When submitting a desktop image(s), you may send it in any resolution you want. However, you must send it in at least one of these resolutions: 640x480 / 800x600 / 832x624 / 1024x768 / 1152x870 / 1280x1024 / 1600x1200Please do not make a screen shot of your image, send the image itself. Movie Files Includes QuickTime (.mov or .qt) and MPEG (.mpg or .mpeg) file types. Compressing these files is highly reccomended. Do not send any other movie file format. That means no Windows Media Player, no RealVideo, and no form of streaming content (even if it is a QuickTime stream, it's impossible to stream on a Unix server you twit!!). Please tell us before you decide to email the movie file. We have size limitations on our mail servers, so we need to know in advance. Sound Files Includes wav/wave (.wav), System 7 Sound (Mac only), uLaw (.au), .aiff/.aif, MPEG Layer 3/2 (.mp3/2), QuickTime (.mov or .qt), MPEG (.mpg or .mpeg). However, sending them in wav (.wav) or MPEG Layer 3/2 (.mp3/2) format is reccomended. Other formats will be converted into wav format before posting on the site. Compressing these before sending is also highly reccomended. This does not include RealAudio, Windows Media Player, or anything not listed above. RealAudio and Media Player are impossible to convert into other formats. Text Files This includes plain text ONLY. Microsoft Word is a prime example of what plain text is NOT (on average, Word adds in about 20 KB of crap coding, including the user who wrote it, who Word is registered to, where it's located on your hard drive, and lots of senseless ascii.). Mac users, copy and paste whatever it is you want into SimpleText or BBEdit and then send it. Windows users, copy and paste it into Note/WordPad and save it as plain text. Other OS'es, copy and paste it into the email message and send it. AppleWorks users (Mac and Windows), send it only to SS3 GokouX. Although using SimpleText or BBEdit (Mac) or Note/Word Pad (Windows) is reccomended because it creates smaller file sizes. Other Files If what you want to send is not listed above, contact one of us telling us what you have. |
